Djokovic Reaches Paris Masters Final with Victory Over Rublev
World number one earns a hard-fought win in the semi-finals.
Novak Djokovic is through to the final of the Paris Masters after a tough semi-final match against Andrey Rublev.
The Serbian star came from behind to win 5-7 7-6 7-3 7-5 in a match that lasted over three hours. Djokovic will now face either Carlos Alcaraz or Holger Rune in the final on Sunday.
Rublev started the match strongly, taking the first set 7-5. However, Djokovic fought back to win the second set in a tie-break and took the third set comfortably 7-3. Rublev broke Djokovic twice in the fourth set, but the Serbian star broke back on both occasions and eventually won the set 7-5.
Djokovic's victory means that he is now one win away from a record-extending seventh Paris Masters title. He has won the tournament six times before, in 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2019, and 2021.
